Introduction

My name is Muneet Narang, and I was born on January 3, 1985. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from India. In 2014, I made the move to Australia after marrying my wonderful husband, Hardip Narang. We are proud parents to two beautiful daughters, Osheen and Ziva, and we have been calling Wyndham Vale our home since 2020.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought unexpected challenges to our lives, particularly when my daughter became stranded in India with her grandparents for two long years. During this difficult time, I worked tirelessly to navigate the government’s processes to bring her back to Australia. Additionally, I faced the heart-wrenching loss of my brother-in-law in a car accident. The overwhelming support we received from our community during this dark period inspired me to give back and find ways to help others in any way I can.

Professionally, I have built my career across various fields:
  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy from India: Developed a strong foundation in patient care and rehabilitation.
  • Child Care Educator in Australia: Focused on the well-being and development of young children.
  • Trainer and Assessor in Early childhood: Enhanced the quality of care by educating others in the field.
  • Currently Studying Masters in Social Work: I am studying to be a Social worker which will help me to council and advocate for people in need. I have also been working in disability sector for last 5 years.
Beyond my career, I have always been passionate about helping people. I advocate for victims of family violence and offer support to women from diverse backgrounds. Over the years, I also found myself stepping into the political space, where I continue to raise my voice against any form of injustice, always striving to make a positive difference in the community.
